This is a fun one! Arts Brookfield is part of Brookfield properties and they are tasked with animating the public spaces in the buildings with art. As of part of the Peri Marketing & Public Relations team I’ve had the opportunity to promote some really fun events at the properties in Denver, Colorado.
Most memorable is the summer of 2016, Arts Brookfield commissioned an Installation by Amanda Parer. Ms. Parer had created several pieces, named Intrude. It was a highly acclaimed public art installation featuring monumental glowing rabbits. When I say “monumental” I mean it. The rabbits where nearly 40ft long! Rabbits in Parer’s native Australia are an out of control pest first introduced by white settlers in 1777. Their intrusion into the landscape and impact on the country’s endemic species was the initial inspiration for Intrude.
In Denver Arts Brookfield regularly curates several visual arts exhibitions as well as musical performances in its buildings.
